The Morning Glory is undoubtedly the most well-known JHS overdrive pedal, winning more awards and receiving more accolades than any of their other designs.

One of the first original designs that JHS built to sell as a JHS Pedal was the Morning Glory overdrive. It was the original 1991 Bluesbreaker circuit with all Josh Scott’s changes, built from the ground up, set in a white enclosure (bigger than the current models), and hand-stamped by Josh. The Morning Glory name is a reference to a type of firework (a roman candle that Josh played with as a kid). He liked the comparison. He felt like the Bluesbreaker circuit added the clarity and rounded brightness that he was always missing in his sound. Early versions didnt include the iconic firework symbol, and he only made around one hundred. These originals are impossible to find now, but that original sound is here, in this Limited Throwback.

Released in collaboration with ‘The Pedal Movie’, this JHS Morning Glory Limited Edition Throwback is based on a modded Marshall Bluesbreaker pedal that was one of the first JHS pedals.
