Model Overview

Playing with the Yardbirds, John Mayalls Bluesbreakers, Cream, Blind Faith, Derek and the Dominos, and as a solo artist, Eric Clapton virtually wrote the book of modern guitar tones. Whether exploring psychedelia, defining British Blues, or performing as a songwriter, his ever-tasteful playing proved inspired and inspiring. Our Layla neck pays homage to his indelible contribution to guitar playing and our overall sense of tone by combining many of his preferred specs into one highly playable, vintage-inspired replacement neck.

Why Roasted?

Roasting the wood enhances stability by reducing the moisture content down to around 7%. The result is a more-resonant neck thats stronger and less susceptible to changing weather conditions.

• Due to the lack of moisture in roasted maple, the risk for cracking is more apparent. When drilling holes for screws, we recommend measuring inside and outside of the threads first to determine the correct drill bit to use. Do not force screws into holes drilled with smaller drill bits.
