This used 1919 Gibson KT Mandocello is a rare, vintage gem with a commanding voice and old-world charm. Built with a solid carved spruce top and what appears to be carved maple back and sides, this A-style teardrop instrument features an oval soundhole and a sharp V-shaped mahogany neck, offering a bold and resonant tone perfect for orchestral or ensemble playing. The rosewood fingerboard extends into the body, hosting 20 frets, and the black headstock overlay proudly displays “The Gibson” script logo. While the tailpiece, tuners, and pickguard have been replaced over the years, the instrument retains its rich character and is finished in hand-rubbed varnish for that classic vintage appeal.
