The Purple Back is a full, present, punchy speaker with a distinct mid-range that will be recognized & appreciated by fans of famous Hiwatt sounds of the past.

The Hiwatt Custom 20 is cathode biased (aka Class A Band ready) which adds a touch sensitive feel to the amps response. With the addition of a Gain Control you are able to drive the Custom 20 into an awesome natural overdrive without the customary Hiwatt loud. Perfect for studio work and intimate venues.
