The main school of woodwind instrument builders was developed in Nuremburg, and the DENNER family was one of the most outstanding and recognized participants in the activity there. JACOB DENNER was a flute, oboe, and bassoon builder. He was the eldest son of Johann Christoph Denner, who invented the clarinet as a modification of the chalumeau, a folk instrument that uses a reed, around 1700.
Jacob Denners original flute is one of the few that have survived intact and in very good condition.
It is in the Germanisches Nationalmuseum in Nuremberg (Nuremberg c. 1715).
Its excellent sound quality makes it a wonderful choice for different repertoires, including that of Bach, Telemann, Mattheson, Vivaldi and Handel.
Please Note: No trials available on Baroque Flutes, returns within 3 days only if the flute is kept in excellent condition.
